Former Ghana youth striker Francis Narh says African players are at the same level with the European players when it comes to talent but the only problem is that African players do not have good agents who can take them to better clubs.

According to the former Tema Youth striker, for an African player to get a good team in Europe, he needs a good agent to fight for him.

‘‘In Africa we have a lot of talents but we do not have help from agents. The agent will fight for you to get a good club or else you will be playing good but you will not get a better club. The European game is more tactical so as a player you have to be tactically discipline but in Africa it is not like that, you play how you want to’’ he told Kapital Radio’s Yaw Opoku-Amoako on Kapital HotSports.

Francis Narh advised players to change their agents if he or she is not good.

‘‘some of the players we played with at the 2013 world youth championship like Kurt Zouma, Samuel Umtiti, Paul Pogba and Geoffrey Kondogbia are maybe doing well because they have good agents and leaders. It is true that some of our players have problems with their agents but I will say they should try and change them. When I was in Africa I had no agent, I got one when I got to Europe.’’

Narh was part of Coach Sellas Tetteh’s U20 squad which finished third in the 2013 world youth championship in France and currently plays for a Bulgarian side Levski Sofia.
