The Asawase member of parliament, Mohammed Mubarack Muntaka has indicated he is no more that close to his once upon a time, closest friend, Mahama Ayariga, member of parliament for Bawku Central.

Speaking on UTV Friday, the Asawase MP said both of them were still recovering from the bribery saga turn of events.

Parliament was in January this year hit by a bribery allegation that had the two members of parliament, Mohammed Muntaka and Mahama Ayariga  involved. The latter claimed the then energy minister nominee Boakye Agyarko bribed the vetting committee through the minority chief whip.

However, Hon. Muntaka vehemently denied before the committee that he had ever received such money.

After five months of the incidence, the two are however yet to come to terms with each other.

Honorable Muntaka has  indicated that he needed not to be at peace with Ayariga to work with him effectively having indicated that he still worked with Ayariga as expected although they are no more close
