President of Ghana Premier League side Bechem United has vowed to defeat Kotoko when the two sides face each other in the GHALCA G6 tournament.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Bechem United in the second match of the preseason tournament at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Kotoko who are the defending champions of the G6 tournament will seek to defend their title by winning against the 2016 FA Cup champions but the Brong Ahafo based side has other ideas as the President of the club, Kingsley Osei Bonsu has vowed to defeat them.

“I simply want to send a message to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, it is just unfortunate that they are meeting Bechem as far as their first match is concerned, I have vowed that in my capacity as chairman of Bechem United because of one or two and I will always make sure I punish Kotoko”.

It will be recall that Bechem United last season edged out Kotoko in the quarter finals of the MTN FA Cup and Osei Bonsu would want to repeat that feat but Kotoko’s Public Relations Officer Kwaku Ahenkorah says the trophy is theirs for the taken.

“No disrespect to the teams who have made claims of winning the competition but I believe if there’s any other club in Ghana that should boast of winning any pre season competition then it is Kotoko, It is ours for the taken”.

The tournament which is being organized by GHALCA for six Ghana Premier League teams will begin on November 13 as Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak play in the opening game at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The teams have been grouped in two:

Group A

Kotoko

Wa All Stars and

Bechem United

Group B

Hearts of Oak

Medeama SC and

Aduana Stars

The finals will take place on December 4 at a later to be known stadium.
