Court adjourns 13 Delta Force members’ case to 18th May

The KMA Circuit court has adjourned to 18th May a case involving 13 Delta Force who assaulted the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator.

The court presided over by Mrs Mary Nsenkyire granted a request by the prosecution to allow the Attorney General’s department get copy of the duplicate.

According to the prosecutor ACP Okyere Darko the AG’s department requested a duplicate of the docket to study it for the necessary advise.

Lawyers for the accused persons say the prosecution had no evidence against their clients, but they will however wait patiently for the outcome from the AG’s department.

The 13 who were charged with assaulting a public officer, conspiracy to commit crime and rioting, escaped law custody while standing trial at the court.

They turned themselves to the Police and were later granted bail after their lawyers filed an application at the high court.
