The Nkosuohene of Ejisu, Nana Poku I, the Nkosuohemaa, Nana Attakoma I and the Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Hon. Aduomi, organized a communal labour at Ejisu in the Ashanti Region to rid the community of filth.

During an interview with Korsi Asiseh on Daybreak Kapital Tuesday, the Assemblyman for Ejisu Agyemang Bright expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the exercise.

He thanked the organizers and all the residents who partook in the exercise. He said, “The need for the cleanup exercise became necessary due to the continuous expansion of Ejisu market and the bad smell it generated”.

When asked where the Municipal Chief Executive was during the exercise, he indicated “she was not well so we decided to do the exercise without her”.

According to him, “when the assembly relocated the dumping site, residents still dumped rubbish at unapproved sites due to the location of the site. The location was not favorable for most of the residents”.

Hon. Agyemang, used the opportunity to plead with residents of Ejisu and its environs to maintain a clean environment and live a healthy life.

He also urged travelers to desist from littering the streets of the country whiles travelling.
