Gov’t Engages Security Experts to Fight Mob Action

Government is engaging some security experts to identify ways of addressing the issue of mob action and instant justice in the country.

Following the death of the late military officer, Major Maxwell Adams Mahama, government and the country at large has become very alert over the rising cases of mob action in the country.

His death, though not the first of its kind has indeed become an eye opener for Ghanaians.

Interior Minister, Ambrose Derry who has said on numerous occasions that the government will not rest on its oars in the fight against the menace said they [government] plan to engage all the Security Experts in the country in the fight.

“We want to make use of all the human resources that we have, starting from the experts, you have them, you have Dr. Aning, Dr. Antwi Danso, you have Akwetey, Civil Society, Bombande who have the know-how. We have the Kofi Anan Center that has specialists in there, we are now inviting them to come down and be part of us in the implementation process.”

The minister made the disclosure on the sidelines of a visit to the head quarters of the National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO.
