Ksi: About 20 Police officers storm MMT office over clashing NPP supporters

About 20 police officers have taken over the Kumasi office of the Metro Mass Transit to forestall a possible clash amongst the supporters of the New Patriotic Party in the region.

Supporters of Daniel Agyenim Boateng, the deputy Regional Organiser of the NPP went to the depot  to protest a withdrawal of his appointment.

Mr. Agyenim who was first appointed as the Ashanti Regional Depot Manager for the MMT later realized another person was also appointed to occupy the same position.

According to him, he was due to officially start work today when he had information that one Nicholas was also appointed to occupy the same office.

Suame Divisional Police Commander, DSP D. O Lomotey said police anticipated a possible clash between the two factions and deployed officers to forestall peace.

The fully armed officers also came with water canon.
