One of Kumawood’s popular actors Michael Afranie has expressed confidence of winning the parliamentary seat at Manso Nkwanta in the forth coming elections.

The actor, who is contesting as an independent parliamentary candidate said his relentless effort towards improving the livelihood of people within the Constituency will speak for him come Wednesday, December 7, 2016.

According to him, several interventions undertaken by him in the Constituency such as paying of school fees, embarking on community development projects like clean up exercises, among others, are evident based and therefore will translate into votes.

“I have been an Assembly man for Esreso for the past five years, I have on countless number of occasions provide forums to educate the youth on how to improve upon their lives. I have also organized a number of communal labour activities in most of the communities, all in pursuit of enriching the livelihood of individuals in the Manso Nkwanta Constituency. In fact, I am second to none amongst my competitors”. He explained.

Michael Afranie also went on to plead with the electorates to come out and vote massively for him come Wednesday, in order to realize his plans for the Constituency.

“Manso Nkwanta deserves better, but seriously, the Constituency has not benefited from any of these so called political parties. Everyone can attest to this fact that, Manso Nkwanta is far behind, when it comes to infrastructural developments like, schools, good roads, health, etc… This and many more is the reason why I want to lead the Constituency in parliament in order to aid improve the living standards of people within the Constituency.

He also refuted allegations leveled against him that, he was financed by the ruling National Democratic Congress, (NDC). Explaining his take on the issue to Kapital News, Mr. Afranie said, he is not and has never been sponsored by any political party which includes the NDC”.

Michael Afranie rose to fame after starring in Kumasi based local movies, with his controversial bushy hair style.

He has starred in several award winning Kumawood movies, and has acted alongside almost all the top movie stars in Ghana, including Agya Koo, Judas, the late Katawere, Akua Ataa Kyeiwaah, Akrobeto, Kojo Nkansah Lil Wyne, Kwaku Manu among others.
