Mampong Babies’ Home gets donation from DJ Duke, #KapitalJourneyFamily on Easter Monday
The Kapital Journey Family [listeners] and the host of the show, Dickson Asante known in the media circles as DJ Duke Monday made some donations to the Mampong Babies’ Home of the Anglican Diocese of Kumasi.
The rationale behind the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of the caretakers of the orphan babies and make life bearable for the babies themselves on the occasion of the Easter Monday.
The Kapital Journey which is a musical program which airs from 12:05 am to 4:00am weekdays surprisingly has very mature listeners with some even been over 50 years old.
The gesture was the initiative of the KapitalJourneyFamily as they fondly refer to themselves which was bought into by DJ Duke.
The family after contributing their respective quota were able to put together Baby Diapers, Toilet rolls, Kallypo Drinks and other drinks, A bag of rice, Biscuits, Soaps, Cooking oil and an amount of money worth Ghc100.
Meanwhile the woman in charge of the Home, Madam Paulina Serwaah thanked the JourneyFamily for their kind gesture and hoped that it wouldn’t be the last of it.
DJ Duke tells Kapital News the #KapitalJourneyFamily hopes to replicate the gesture every 4 months.
