Kumasi Asante Kotoko have had a dismal run since the sacking of coach  Dzravko Lugarusic somewhere last month.

The team have endured a win less run in their last 8 Premier league games since the sacking of the Croat.

Interim coach Stephen Frimpong Manso has not been able to steady the ship in the three premier league matches he has over seen although the team has played well in all those games.

In an interview on Kapital Hot sports the legendary Frimpong Manso could not hide his disappointment at the current turn of events at the club but is very hopeful going into the future.

“Of course I’m worried just like any Kotoko fan or any Kotoko management member we are all worried for the team to go 8 matches without a win”

“It should be a worrying factor for every Kotoko fan”

The interim coach stressed that he is trying to put in the proper measures to arrest the recent slide starting with their game against Olympics.

He indicated that a win against Olympics is imperative considering their recent loss to Hearts in the ceremonial Ghana@60 match.

“We have put the defeat against Hearts Behind us so we’ve been working very hard in the last two days”

“We will try and win that game and its only a win that can put us back on track” he added.

Officials of Olympics have sworn heaven and earth to beat Kotoko on Saturday but coach Frimpong said its normal when every team is facing Kotoko.

“If any team is coming to play against Kotoko he is very confident  because he feels Kotoko is not playing well these days so he can match Kotoko and wants to beat Kotoko”

“It is normal and it happens in football for us being under rated will also help us in such games so yes we accept every blame or whatever”

“We need to make amends and hopefully we would want to do that against Olympics”he added.
