The first vice chair of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Anita Deso-so has said the former president Jerry John Rawlings can never become the chairman of the NDC.

According to the vibrant woman who was once the women’s organizer of the party, Jerry John Rawlings becoming the chairman of the party will be demeaning.

Speaking on Hello Fm, a Kumasi based FM station Monday; she indicated “I don’t think the former president would want to be the chairman. Why would he want to be the chairman when the ‘founder’ is of a higher position?”

Her comment comes on the backdrop of the NDC contesting for position within the party whiles in opposition to help battle the seat from the New Patriotic Party come election 2020. Prior to the set date, there has been these rumors that the ex -president will be contesting for the position of chairmanship of the party.

Anita Deso-so however does not think that is a laudable idea and therefore not possible.  Meanwhile she said she was going to maintain and vie for the position of first vice chancellor.
