Who would have thought that a reluctant, last minute decision to attend an awards event would give birth to a beautiful love story.

Well it did, and that simple, harmless, casual meeting did not only bring two hearts together but it is really looking forward to patiently join two families together.

It was one lazy evening on March 26, 2016 when Lily Ampofoa Annor, a Broadcast Journalist and host of ‘Your Health’ on Kapital Radio took a last minute decision after a hard day’s work to go take a peep and satisfy her curiosity at the the Golden Tulip Hotel in (Kumasi) where the the 5th edition of the 2016 FOKLEX Media Awards was kicking off.

Lily however did not only satisfy her curiosity but she won the biggest award of the night as she went back home with an entangling feeling of happiness, a positive kinda confusion  and the eagerness to hear from the perfect stranger she had met that night, Eric Nana Preko.

The usher just knew where to place Lily, right next to Eric, also a Broadcaster then working with Classic FM in Takyiman.

Naturally, a conversation ensued between the two who had their own awards event that night, chatting all through, giving birth to their love story.

A little after a year, the love birds who have grew stronger and inseparable are taking the next big step; tying the knot on Sunday August 20.

It’s going to be a media affair between Kapital Radio and Metro Fm [where Eric currently works]. Family, friends, colleagues, even acquaintances of the two are anxiously waiting to be witnesses of the final touch to the beautiful love story, the EL story.

Indeed when two hearts meet, happiness is born.
