VIDEO :Togo gives rousing welcome to Prez Akufo Addo

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo received a heroes welcome in Togo when he touched down on Tuesday.

The president left the country, Tuesday as part of his tour to some ECOWAS states.

Led by the president of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe, Nana Akufo Addo was taken through the principal streets of Lome, the capital town of Togo.

A huge number of Ghanaians and Togolese lined the streets to wave flags most of them Ghanaian flags at his convoy.

Its the first time Ghana’s president is visiting neighbouring Togo after taking over power from his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama.

His visit was to deepen co-operation, as well as strengthen the ties of friendship that exist between the two countries.

A communiqué issued at the end of the official visit noted that, together with President Faure Gnassingbe, both leaders have indicated their willingness to activate the High level permanent joint Commission of cooperation between the two countries.
